Being a tenant it is your right to be listened too and the best way to do this is to join Bacup & Stacksteads tenant management organisation.

We need your support. We are currently working for the “Right to manage” therefore you need to have a say, be consulted, given the information important to you and we need to work together.

The more members of our society we have the more tenants rights will increase within Bacup & Stacksteads.

The present TMO Society board has eight tenants Directors who are all volunteers and not paid for the work they provide.

The full board also has 4 independent members.

At this time there are just over 1000 homes in this area. Our society membership is currently over 280 and we need more.

It only costs 20 pence to join and is a one off payment valid as long as you remain a tenant in Bacup or Stacksteads. Being a member gives you the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting, to elect board members; to be nominated yourself should you to become actively involved.

The Bacup & Stacksteads TMO is registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965.
